Premiered at Netherlands Film Festival. Gryphon Award for Generator +18 at Giffoni Film Festival. Achmed Akkabi & Walid Benmbarek were nominated for Best Actor / Gouden Kalf at Netherlands Film Festival. Official selection Goa International Film Festival, Chennai International Film Festival, Europe on Screen (Jakarta), Berlinale EFM. The film ran in cinema's in the Netherlands and was shown on national television (BNN/Vara).
When Yasin El Amrani disappears without a trace in the war hell of Syria after a period of volunteer work in a refugee camp in Jordan, his family in the Netherlands is very worried. His older brothers decide to track him down themselves and bring him back. While Hassan and Mourad undertake the perilous journey to Daraa with minimal preparation or leads, the brothers are confronted with their own prejudices and limitations in this drama.
