Merel accidentally discovers a big family secret: her biological grandfather is Turkish. Against her mother's wishes, she goes looking for him. A light-footed youth drama in which women play the leading role, it starts as an encounter between two different cultures and develops into an exciting and unifying journey. Music by Baris Akardere.

Premiered at Cinekid Film Festival. Nominated for the Emmy Kids Awards and Children's Jury Award at Chicago International Children's Film Festival. Selected for Kids First (USA), Berlin Short Film Festival, Film Festival for Children and Youth “Kinolub" (Polen), Cannes Short Film Corner, Sarajevo Film Festival.The film ran in  cinema's in the Netherlands and was shown on national television (KRO/NCRV).
